The Daily Telegraph reports that former fashion designer Rebecca Davies is in talks with Foxtel to join the upcoming second season of The Real Housewives of Sydney. The publication claims that at least three original cast members may be dropped from the hit reality series when the show returns for Season 2 in 2018.
This is the reason why producers are in talks with Davies in a bid to build depth in the program’s story lines.
“I’ve certainly got the single mum thing down pat and am right in the thick of it right now raising my kids and starting my new business (a beauty clinic in Edgecliff),” Davies said last week, confirming the discussions with Foxtel producers.
Davies made a name for herself in 1990's as one of the hottest designers of women’s clothing with her clothing label Bare by Rebecca Davies and has worked with top models such as Miranda Kerr and Lily Cole.
However, she decided to walk away from her business in 2007 to devote time to her family with investment banker Bryan Davies, a co-founder of Mark Bouris’s Yellow Brick Road financial planning business.
Then in 2012, the couple announced their shock separation. The banker, said Davies, had “left me for a Lithuanian secretary — (aged) 26”.
Davies is the mother of Australia’s Next Top Model finalist Daisy Davies, son Tobias, a computer boffin, and her 18-year-old transgender son, Ares, who was born as Scarlett and two years ago transitioned to a male.
