Stewart accuses Latham of making a fake email account to make it seem as though a video was exchanged between the former Steeler and another man, according to documents obtained by TMZ. The former NFL quarterback alleges the intent was to make it seem as though the email was from a boyfriend of Stewart's.
The lawsuit also accuses Latham of posting a blog entry that suggested Stewart intended to marry Tyler Perry.
Stewart has previously denied being gay and repeated so in the lawsuit. "At all times during his life, Mr. Stewart has been, and is, a heterosexual male.
As previously reported via the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Stewart won a $3 million defamation suit in March against a man who claimed the two slept together.
In January, Stewart was considering a lawsuit against his ex-wife Porsha Williams after the video of himself surfaced on the internet. He reportedly sent a cease and desist letter to the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star demanding she stop talking trash about him and attempting to destroy his image, reports the publication.
The 36-year-old Williams blamed Stewart for the videos release, telling TMZ she had not spoken with the ex-quarterback since she signed on to their divorce.
Stewart and Williams were married from 2011-2013 before getting divorced.
