Kim Zolciak-Biermann Hires Legal Counsel Over NeNe Leakes’ Racism Accusations!

Kim Zolciak-Biermann is taking NeNe Leakes' racism accusations seriously, the Don't Be Tardy star has revealed that she has hired legal counsel over her Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star's recent accusations. "I've hired a legal counsel at this point," she told E!'s Daily Pop.

"I don't take this lightly. It's one thing like I said to kind of banter back and forth and have an opinion. This is far beyond just having an opinion."

According to the mother-of-six, NeNe's comments have had a serious impact on her daughter Brielle's life. "We've had to make some changes in my everyday life with security and Brielle's gotten a lot of threats on Instagram. I mean it's been a little rough. That's why Brielle's here with me in California right now."

"I protect them as much as I can, but I'm also very open. This world is crazy right now," she said, referencing her decision to include her children on TV. "People are dying over racism. I mean this is a major issue, so I don't want to hide any of this real life from them, but I definitely try to protect them as much as I can."

According to the reality star, her daughter Brielle originally taped the first part of the video in Leakes' house and shared it on Snapchat.

After followers noticed the bug in the clip, Biermann went back and filmed the second part and sent it to her mom and best friend. Zolciak-Biermann said she sent the video to "the Housewives" after a "big situation in Barcelona."

During a Facebook Live interview with Entertainment Tonight's Brice Sander ,Kim revealed more details about her feud with Leakes and why she decided to hire attorney Marty Singer to take Leakes to court.

"I don't have anything to say [to Leaks]. I think it's pretty inappropriate," Zolciak shared. "I think the banter back and forth and kind of having fun and there's catty moments, we're all grown women and just kind of living life. But the racism card is not something that I feel like, in this day and age, that you should pull. And I didn't take it lightly. And yes, I have hired Marty Singer."

As we previously reported, Leakes made headlines last week after calling out Zolciak's 20-year-old daughter, Brielle Bierman, for posting a Snapchat video about allegedly finding cockroaches at Leakes' home. In her since-deleted Instagram post, Leakes called Brielle "racist trash," Zolciak a "trashy mom" and hashtagged "#KKK."

"@briellebiermann We don't have roaches! If you found 1, u brought it with u or it fell outta yo funky p---y! Please know I will get You all the way together when you start f--king wit me and mine!" Leakes fired back in a since-deleted Instagram post, also taking aim at Brielle's appearance.

"My home is Brand New but you guys were so jealous of it, you couldn't even give a compliment," NeNe continued. "You had to stoop so low and be so disgusting #racisttrash #jealous #KKK #thirsty you better run yo ass back to a child's place #youwannaactgrown?"

"I don't take it lightly and I don't appreciate it, and the hashtag, 'KKK,' is kind of the one that put me over the edge," Zolciak told ET. "And to say my whole family is [racist], there's been threats on Brielle's Instagram, threats on my stuff. We've had to change a lot of things in the last few days because of it. I mean, it just takes one crazy person. This world is a crazy place, and in this situation, I just... I'll never understand it."

While Zolciak prepares for her legal drama with Leakes, she'll eventually have to come face-to-face with the reality star to film the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion show.

"I don't think she's in the right frame of mind at this stage of the game. But I'm an adult and I can handle myself. I don't have anything to say, and I won't again. There's a line that's definitely been crossed and it just went too far," she said, adding that Hollywood legal heavyweight Singer "does not play."
