Stephanie Hollman is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on this week's episode of The Real Housewives of Dallas. Stephanie Hollman shares an update on how her son Cruz is doing and calls out LeeAnne Locken.
Stephanie writes:
"I finally won the pool battle, but not without casualties - RIP my black Prada boots! I am so glad that Travis has finally come to his senses. It is not that we should cover the pool because he has known that all along, but that I am right and he was not going to win this fight! He knew the pool was unsafe and there was no way I was going to move in without covering it, but he still fought me anyway. Well, payback is a bitch…to the tune of a little over $1,000,000 + a new pair of Prada boots. Let the renovations begin!
Listening to what LeeAnne Locken said when she arrived at the surgeon's office, when she thought she wasn't mic’d didn’t surprise me as much as it scared me! In what she thought was a clear moment of privacy, she showed her true colors once more. There’s an old saying that states you never truly know who a person is until you’ve seen them behind closed doors. I believe that stands true in this situation. I am honestly very concerned to even think about the amount of hatred that clearly runs through her head regarding the Deubers. I am glad that Brandi is starting to see that LeeAnne back to her old ways.
In this episode, I shared a little bit about Cruz's struggles and frustrations. I felt so bad that I didn't see it sooner. I think most moms can relate to "mom guilt." During this time, I couldn't help but think that if I hadn't been so distracted by the drama, what people thought of me and being so focused on my friendship with Brandi Redmond, I would have been more engaged at home and could have found help for him sooner. My heart has never shattered as much as it did when Cruz told me he couldn't learn his letters because he was "stupid" or "dumb." I still get very emotional thinking about what must have been going on inside his mind and heart.
This past year we transferred Cruz to a wonderful school that specializes in teaching to his learning differences. Travis and I have seen outstanding progress in his learning and self-confidence. I am so grateful for this incredible school, Cruz is excited to go to school and after school gets in the car with the biggest smile and is excited to share what he learned that day. He believes in himself again!
Now that the boys are at two separate schools in Dallas, my everyday commute to drop the boys off, pick them up, then run them home to change for whatever sports practice we have that night in Dallas is insane, to say the least! The boys' schools, friends, sporting events, and doctors are all in Dallas. I would say we spend a good 3-4 hours in the car every day just doing the back and forth, from school to events to practices and games. Our thoughts were that if we could change the time we were on the road simply by moving closer to the kids' school, by all means, let's do it.
It doesn't surprise me that some of the girls in this group are shallow enough to think that I would be so selfish as to pick up and move my family for some silly social status. Our decision was based on the needs of our children.
If I really wanted to be a Dallas socialite, we would have bought a house in Highland Park. We can clearly afford a home in Highland Park! I am not concerned about how many Birkin bags I have or the difference a zip code can supposedly make. I am concerned, however, about doing everything I can to make sure my boys have everything they need to be successful and have the confidence to achieve whatever they choose to do in life. Travis and I are committed to providing a loving and stable home, exceptional education and travel opportunities for them to experience the world. They are our life! Travis and I do understand the need for work-life balance and take time out to recharge ourselves.
I am so happy to have some time to recharge myself by going to one of my favorite places with some of my favorite girls! After a couple margaritas in this group, it's bound to be an interesting trip! See you all next week!"
