Cary Deuber is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on this week's episode of The Real Housewives of Dallas. Cary Deuber opens up about her issues with LeeAnne Locken and teases upcoming Mexico drama.
Cary writes:
"Welcome back to another week. Ugh, still my power struggle with Mark. It’s tough when your boss is your husband, but we’ve got to find a way to make this work with our growing family balance. First off, Mark is my best friend in the world. But, I think he is also desperately dependent on me; maybe even more than I realized… We really have built OUR practice together. And we both consider it OURS - it really is a team effort. He says I’m the face of the practice, and that’s actually true! On our website: www.drdeuber.com, you’ll see images and videos of me plastered everywhere. So, let me break down the pieces of the conflict we’re mired in right now. Obviously, you see my side: I want to spend more time with Zuri, especially while she’s little (I mean… Who wouldn’t want to bake cookies with those adorable little pigtails every night!?). I know all of you moms out there can get this. I also want to continue my focus on my yoga practice - maybe even professionally - but maybe that’s another story… Something’s gotta give, and work would be the easiest place to back off. What’s proving very challenging, though, is that Mark ACTUALLY IS my boss at work; and bosses expect you to do your job. Everybody knows that work always brings a lot of stress - especially in medicine; however, this year (aside from a super busy surgery and patient schedule, plus running a business), there is so much more: You heard me mention in my confessional that we are expanding our space, remodeling, AND bringing in a new doctor. We ALSO have been working very hard to build and expand our online and digital brand. You remember last year we did a little photo shoot to try get more images for marketing? Well, this year, we brought in the pros to do a series of video marketing pieces for the practice. And, I’ve got to admit, I DID promise to help with all these extra pieces in addition to the usual jobs I do. So, while many of us (especially moms) think we can take anything on, when it comes to work lately, I may have bitten off more than I can chew. This week, we see behind the scenes surgery on camera. My real comfort zone! Back at Lemmon Avenue Plastic Surgery and Laser Center, we had an out of town patient who flew in for a breast augmentation. This was an extra high-pressure moment because, in addition to all of the usual personnel, we also had our own private camera crew on site to capture our patient’s experience. She agreed to have her pre-op, surgery and post-op experience filmed for education purposes for future patients to learn about what’s special about our 24-hour recovery breast augmentation and the unique recovery experience we deliver. The footage you saw us shooting ended up being used for multiple promo videos on our website and marketing materials. You can check out the final clip here.
I’ve got to admit, my involvement was actually really critical; so, while he may appear frustrated with me, watching this back, I can understand where Mark’s coming from.
I wasn’t the only Housewife dealing with surgery this week, though. We see that LeeAnne Locken was as well. I sincerely hope that her surgical experience was as good as the ones we always strive to deliver. I have never, nor would I now want, any of my fellow Housewives to come to my practice over another physician because of guilt or obligation. You never see LeeAnne ask me for advice or opinion about her procedure nor receive advice from me. That’s fine; do what you want; it’s your body. But don’t blame me about the doctor credentials stuff! I’m not the one making facts up. True credential details are extremely important, complicated, and highly regulated. As a medical professional surrounded by friends and acquaintances that don’t share that background, I felt obligated to clarify these very issues at the Honest-tea. Don’t refer to a physician as a board certified plastic surgeon who is in fact NOT a board certified plastic surgeon; you can decide to go to whoever you want; but you also deserve to have accurate information when you make a decision. (For more on how to research a physician and what their credentials really mean, please visit here.
Now, I know two-face is going to conveniently "misremember" this truth for everyone- she’s going to say I started trash talking a doctor. So, let’s all be clear - go back and watch the Honest-tea. Brandi Redmond brought up the "vagina doctor;" all I did was confirm that he was a board-certified Ob-Gyn, and NOT a board certified plastic surgeon. AND THAT’S IT; seriously, go back and watch! Are there going to be MORE "misremembered facts" falsely attributed to come from me? I suspect so; Apparently, I must have a big target painted on me: I’ve got a professional license, a career, and ethics. So it’s open season on Cary! Do you hate me that much, two-face? Apparently, yes, you do! The stuff coming from behind the pre-op room door…WOW!!! Pretty alarming and really scary. My life is getting threatened now?! I can hardly believe it. AND THAT’S EXACTLY WHY I can believe it… “Little LeeAnne” is making grown-up LeeAnne into a security risk! AND more of the gay bashing rumors! She doesn’t like that I tell the truth about her doctor; so she bashes my surgeon husband and says he’s gay to get back at me? Really? It’s going to be so hard to give her the benefit of the doubt as far as what she is spewing. I finally get her whole two-face thing- IT COMES NATURALLY- the face she shows on the speaker’s podium and the real one she has behind closed doors. Calls me a C… then cries and says she doesn’t want to hurt anyone… drags me whenever she can… then says she’s just a victim.. spews some gay bashing lies… then sits with a counselor to get credit for trying to do better.. and threatens my life behind a wood panel door. Yup! There it is. I hope everyone noticed how I tried my best to stay out of the chatter about her procedure this week once we made it to Mexico. Remember that when the haters come for me. I’m really trying to avoid “feeding the dragon”. (I probably blew it with my blog today) It’s only going to get bigger and grow more faces to keep up with. So, the Mexico trip is officially scary for me now; security, please!"
