Bethenny Frankel And Dennis Shields Are Dating Again!

E! News reports that Bethenny Frankel and Dennis Shields are back together. Multiple sources reveal that the Big Apple-based banker accompanied The Real Housewives of New York City to her most recent appearance on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live and they've recently been spotted enjoying the summer season in the Hamptons.

The Skinnygirl mogul and Shields first started dating back in late 2015, but called off their relationship sometime before May of this year.

A source explains, "They took some time apart because both were going through their divorces. They gave each other a little bit of space and now they're back together having fun."

As previously reported, Bethenny is currently in the midst of an ongoing legal battle with ex-husband Jason Hoppy over allegations of harassment and stalking. Shields also became involved in the dispute when he alleged that Hoppy had sent dozens of emails to him with "increasing frequency and hostility."

Frankel explained why she initially decided to take a break with Dennis during Part 2 of the RHONY Season 9 reunion. "Yeah, more than giving it another shot, things had to be dealt with and sort of a gauntlet had to be gotten through and it happened. And I'm in a better place, and I'm in a better place to make a sane decision," Bethenny shared. "I mean, I have my moments where I don't trust and I'm afraid. And I've learned a lot about myself in the last year, year-and-a-half. I've been working on myself more. I've been in therapy. And I have a difficult time getting close to people, especially since my situation, I do not allow people in. Dennis has said, 'You will not allow me to love you,' because it's very, very hard."

When Andy asked Bethenny if she pushed Dennis away, the Skinnygirl mogul explained why they needed some time apart. "No, I rightfully ended the relationship because of the circumstances surrounding my divorce and surrounding his divorce. And, you know, a person who has been married that many years needs to go through a certain cycle," she said. "I think that I needed him to make changes that I really didn't think that he would make, and I think that thinking the possibility of losing me really scared him straight, to be honest. And I'm a different person than I was then, because I'm just happier, I'm just freer."

At the time, Bethenny said that she was still dealing with what she likened to "torment and torture" with her ex-husband, Jason Hoppy, but now she said she feels "happier and nicer." "I only want to be with someone if they're totally additive. I don't need to fill a slot. I don't need to check a box," she said. "And Dennis is that person."
