Luann And Tom D’Agostino Comment On Rumors About Their Marriage: “We Want It To Succeed”

Luann D'Agostino is commenting on gossip surrounding the state of her marriage to Tom D'Agostino, whom she married to seven months ago in a lavish three-day ceremony in Palm Beach on New Year's Eve. "Tom and I are in love and marriage takes work. We are working on this together," The Real Housewives of New York City star said in a statement to The Daily Dish.

Meanwhile, Luann's husband Tom D'Agostino is speaking out about rumors that there may be trouble in paradise."There is a lot of love here,” he told Us Weekly. “We want it to succeed.”

This comes after recent reports that Luann and Tom have been facing some issues in their relationship. It was reported that over the weekend that the couple got into a bit of a public quarrel at Le Bilbouquet restaurant.

"They have had their share of rough moments. There was an argument in a restaurant last week, they're not denying that," an insider told E! News. "Marriage is tough and they're working on it."

Luann made a similar remark to PEOPLE, saying, "Tom and I are in love, and marriage takes work. We are working on this together."

However, we're told people around Luann don't feel their relationship can be salvaged.

"People are urging Luann to end the marriage. She got in quick, she can get out quick," one source told E! News. "There's no shame in admitting you made a mistake."

An insider also told PEOPLE, "They have hit a major rough patch. This was going on before the wedding, and she was too embarrassed to call it off, so she tuned out what a lot of people were saying. She had confided in friends that she knew something was up and that it didn't gel—but she had to put on a good face to avoid embarrassment. Everyone gave it six months."

News of fierce fighting and a cycle of breakups-then-makeups, originally reported by Page Six. The publication claims that the pair even got into a physical confrontation last week, with de Luann slapping Tom in a fancy Manhattan restaurant.

Page Six claims that there's been issues since the beginning of the marriage — which began in the shadow of D’Agostino’s infidelity — they have broken up and gotten back together a number of times.

“It isn’t exactly a match made in heaven,” said a source close to the couple. “He hates the whole reality [TV] thing, he doesn’t want the attention or the scrutiny.”

A source tells the publication that the twosome has been fighting a lot and that D’Agostino is getting sick and tired of the drama. “There has been friction from the start. They got married so fast, they didn’t really know each other.” Added the source, “She’s a drama queen.”
