Tinsley Mortimer: “I Am, Have Always Been, Will Always Be Exactly Who You See”

Tinsley Mortimer is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on last week's episode of The Real Housewives of New York City. Tinsley Mortimer talks about the struggles of readjusting in NYC and the trauma of escaping her Palm Beach life.

Tinsley writes:

"Love, absolutely LOVE Carole, but, girl, I am not changing my look! I am, have always been, will always be exactly who you see. I’m a girly girl. I just am. Can’t change it. I like poufy dresses, eyelashes, long curled hair, high heels and all. I do appreciate Carole’s attempt to help me with my image in New York, where I hastily returned after the fiasco in Florida. And I am considering moving downtown as opposed to my familiar and beloved UES. I'm just not ready to make that decision yet. On a side note…the NYP wrote something nice about me?! Now that’s a surprise! Thanks, Page Six!

I loved having my Mom look at apartments with me, but I already knew what her reaction would be to “the” downtown. It was no surprise that she preferred the uptown apartment, and I have to say that I did, as well. But who knows me better than she? Mom could see that I was a bit emotional about it all, and I think she understands that my life has been moving at such a rapid pace for the last year, going in so many different directions and on some difficult paths, that she understands making a decision to officially move into my own place, with all of my furniture stored away in Florida, is unsettling and overwhelming to me. Since I've returned to New York, I find myself overreacting to situations and feeling emotional about the strangest things. I just cannot seem to settle down and feel comfortable again in my life. I think the trauma of what happened in Palm Beach is still too much for me. Maybe my Mom's idea of simply moving into a hotel until I feel more grounded is not such a bad idea!

Ramona was so sweet to invite my Mom and me to her newly-decorated apartment. I have to laugh when I think of my high-energy Mom meeting the whirlwind that is Ramona... she was speechless! There were so many exes at that party, I couldn’t keep them all straight. For the record, I am NOT, nor was I ever “dating” Chad. He was a nice friend with whom I could have a couple nice casual dates...period! At least I didn’t date, marry, or get engaged to Harry Dubin. What were all these beautiful women thinking?! He is a pest! I mean I like the guy, but only as a friendly acquaintance you may happen to bump into occasionally.

I hope everyone leaves Luann alone now and quits trying to stir up trouble. Tom and she seem very very happy together, and I am happy for them, but he needs to stop it with that RING bit. It's just disrespectful to Luann.
See you next week!"
