Venus Behbahani-Clark And Sally Bloomfield Talk About Joining The Real Housewives Of Melbourne!

This week, the cast of the fourth upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Melbourne were officially announced by Foxtel. Venus Behbahani-Clark and Sally Bloomfield were revealed as the two newest cast member, replacing Chyka Keebaugh, Pettifleur Berenger and Susie McLean.

Now, the two new reality stars talk about joining the successful hit reality series during a recent interview with Foxtel Insider.

The Persian-born Behbahani-Clark, 35, grew up in Italy but came to Australia in the ’80s. The mother-of-two is not short of confidence and, with her own cosmetics line in the works, definitely knows how to be the best glamazon she can be.

How would you describe yourself?

I am a mother of two girls, a lawyer and I am also launching my cosmetics line, which is called Venus. It’s something I have been researching and looking at over the past two years. Friends would describe me as: feisty, determined and kind. I’m not a high-maintenance friend.

What will you bring to the show?

A fresh pair of eyes. I have a certain level of experience as a mother, and going through some adversities. I can show the young ladies out there that you don’t have to let adversity get you down.

Who are you looking forward to hanging out with?

I know Gina very well. It will be good to catch up with her more. And Jackie is a lovely young housewife, so it will be good to know her. But all of them really! I’m really looking forward to seeing how this journey will pan out.

How will you handle conflict?

I’m going to give my opinion. If it involves myself then I will have to step back and see what has happened, and just explore my own faults – if I have any [laughs]. And if it involves someone else, I will stick up for who I think is right.

Bloomfield, 51, is a widow and mother-of-two who is a homewares queen, helming a chic emporium in the well-to-do enclave of Barwon Heads, and also oversees renovations of her boutique hotel in Bali. She is set to launch her own accessories collection.

How would you describe yourself and what you’ll bring to the show?

I am hoping to bring a sense of fun, a sense of humour and a little bit of fashion to the show. I do have a pretty wicked sense of humour. And I’m all about fashion. I worked for Harper’s Bazaar for three years, as the Melbourne editor – although that was quite a long time ago!

Which of the Housewives are you looking forward to hanging out with?

I met Jackie just before we started filming and instantly connected with her. And Janet was the first I officially met. I kind of bonded with those two pretty quickly. And all the other girls have just been really, really nice. So far!

How will you handle any conflict or tension that may arise with the other Housewives?

I guess I would handle it straight away. I am a pretty open and honest person. And I think I would go to the person involved instead of bitching, bitching, bitching. I don’t like a lot of tension. I am the sort of person who just goes and deals with it and moves on.
