Mohamed Hadid Pleads “No Contest” To Criminal Charges In Bel-Air Megamansion Case!

Radar Online reports that supermodel's Gigi and Bella Hadid’s millionaire father Mohamed Hadid has pleaded “no contest” to criminal charges related to his Bel Air megamansion debacle.

Mohamad Hadid, has been in legal trouble over the property for years, but on Tuesday, the first day of his trial in a Los Angeles Superior Courtroom, he failed to show. His lawyers entered the plea on his behalf.

Yolanda Foster’s ex-husband purchased property in the celebrity neighborhood in 2011, and was in the process of building a 30,000 sq. ft. monster home there. City officials halted building three years ago because they said the plans for the property had never been approved, and that it was much bigger and taller than current law allows. Neighbors said they feared that the clifftop property could cause an avalanche or mudslide.

He will be sentenced next month, and prosecutors have asked the judge to sentence him to hundreds of hours of community service, $1,000 fines for each of the three criminal charges and a $250,000 contribution, at least, reports Radar Online.

Senior Assistant City Attorney Tina Hess also wants a bond “to ensure that if Hadid cannot or will not finish the building legally, the city will have the money to demolish it,” according to the L.A. Times.
