"Well this week was definitely exciting for me as I finally had the opportunity to introduce my new brand Forever Young by Matty to my closest friends and family. After working in the cosmetic and beauty industry for over 20 years, I’ve always had a passion for beauty and a keen interest in accumulating knowledge to slow down the ageing process. They say if you love what you do, you will never have to work a day in your life and honestly that is how I feel about my job. I love it and believe in everything I do.
Needless to say, I am so proud of my first product – the FOREVER YOUNG BY MATTY BEAUTY PILLOW FOR ANTI-AGEING. The main goal of the pillow is to help prevent and reduce sleep lines. It comfortably supports your neck and shoulders and is uniquely designed to cradle your face.
I decided to host a Pillow Party as a thank you for everyone who was involved in the process. This group included friends who had supported me throughout this journey and the team who were involved in developing this product. Since the product is a pillow, I thought a Pyjamas Party would be the perfect event theme. I wanted it to be a fun and fabulous event.
Athena , Lisa and Krissy all came to help me celebrate on the day, which was great as Lisa and Krissy were involved in a focus group months before, where we chose the logo. They also helped trial the product for me and I appreciated their feedback. During the speeches Athena X blessed the pillows which I thought was a kind gesture. During the party Lisa and Athena started talking to Krissy in regards to an intervention for Victoria. I have to say I thought the idea of an intervention was quite extreme for this matter.
To be honest I personally like Victoria and like the others, I have a times been disappointed when she hasn’t come to an event – but that’s simply because I do enjoy her company. To be fair to Victoria, when we were in Singapore and she met her sister for the first time, I completely understood why it was important for her to spend time with her long-lost sibling over us.
We are no longer kids in high school. Instead we are adults who can make our own decisions and if Victoria doesn’t want to come to an event that is her own personal choice. After the pillow party, we all attended the food truck fundraising event and once again, there were more discussions about Victoria not coming to any events. Very quickly this escalated to another argument and to be honest I can see why our group is finding it harder and harder to spend time together. The arguing and bickering is constant and enough to give any person a headache. As a busy working mum, I look forward to any opportunity when I can go out and have some fun but lately it hasn’t been so enjoyable. Maybe this is exactly how Victoria feels…"
