Karen Huger: “Ashley Is Our Self-Ordained POT STIRRER Of The Group”

Bravotv.com: Your mom is hilarious – did she get along with Dr. Black Bill Gates right away? What else can you tell us about her? 

Karen Huger: Bridget and I share a special sisterly bond, lots of love for one another and lots of sibling rivalry.  When we were little kids I’d pretend that I was her Mom.  As the older sister, I’d always boss her around.  Well, as she grew up Miss Bridget wasn’t having any of that! Hence our fun/shady relationship was born and it continues to this day.

I’ll never forget the day I bought Ray home to meet my parents. My dad’s response was warm and fuzzy. He was glad that I was happy. Mom, on the other hand, needed some convincing. Mom’s protective instincts kicked in and she boldly asked Ray, “What do you want with my young daughter?” Needless to say, Ray convinced Mom that he had nothing but good intentions and today he can do no wrong in her opinion.

Bravotv.com: What were you thinking when Ashley called you to be a part of the conversation in the kitchen? 

KH: Lord God why is "Ashley" calling my name asking me to join her in this hot mess kitchen conversation? Ashley is our self-ordained POT STIRRER of the group. The one thing I can say with conviction is that the girl is consistent – messy boots and all, bless her heart. My immediate thought was, this invite can’t be good. Ashley, sweetie – NO THANKS! I was enjoying playing spades with Ray. After all, this was date night, not a fight night! I was looking forward to a fun time with the girls and the guys. I thought surely this was going to be our KUMBAYA moment to all the negativity – wishful thinking!

Bravotv.com: What do you think about Gizelle and Monique’s clash? 

KH: The clash between Gizelle and Monique was inevitable. Monique said it herself, Gizelle had struck out twice with her already, once at the Willard and then again at the hookah bar. The clash was preordained!

Bravotv.com: Was Gizelle wrong to talk about Monique or was Monique overreacting? 

KH: Let’s be clear- talking about anyone in their home is WRONG! Then again, having folks at your event posted up to spy on your guest, eavesdrop on their private whispers and then report back to headquarters is VERY WRONG! Plain and simple Monique was on ready FIRE for Miss Gizelle at the cookout!
