Kara Alloway may be bringing the drama on The Real Housewives of Toronto, however the Ontario native is no stranger to The Real Housewives franchise. The fashionista shares some connections with some of the American reality stars including Bethenny Frankel and Jill Zarin from The Real Housewives of New York City and Kyle Richards and Joyce Giraud from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“I used to live with Kyle Richards,” she told our good friends over at Femme Foyer. “We were in acting classes together. We studied under John de Lancie from Star Trek fame.” It was at La Scala with Kyle when Kara met Skinnygirl mogul Bethenny Frankel.
Kara comments on other Real Housewives connections. “Jill Zarin has reached out to me. She’s doing a new show with Joyce Giraud, such lovely women,” she said.
Despite her refusal to drink on the Slice hit reality series, Alloway reveals that a current American Real Housewives gave her that solid advice to not drink on camera: “Kyle advised me not to drink on camera. And I believe that’s sound advice.”
Kara says she keeps both feet on the ground by giving back to the community via various charities. “Charity is my passion. I consider myself a conduit for donations.”
Squashing all rumors about her reluctance to attend a RHOT reunion, Kara says she's all game for it.
“I would love a RHOT reunion. I’d wear yellow. It’s such a bright and fun color for me right now. I’m definitely buying a new yellow bag in LA… Lala Land yellow.”
What does Alloway expect from a RHOT reunion? “The truth,” she says.
Alloway is current in Los Angeles and reveals the reason why she's in La-La Land. “I’m meeting with producers about a project that is six years in the making. Real Housewives of Toronto has helped push this production meeting in fast forward. Thank you, Real Housewives!”
