Dorinda Medley is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on last week's episode of The Real Housewives of New York City. Dorinda Medley talks about Ramona Singer's successful birthday, Tinsley Mortimer's living situation and the election.
Dorinda writes:
"As we know, Ramona loves to celebrate her birthday not only for the day or the week, but for the MONTH! She usually has her annual luncheon with a cast of Upper East Side characters. Since it is such a big birthday, I thought it would be great to change it up and throw her a surprise birthday party. They problem is, how do I fool Ramona into thinking the event is something else? How do I make sure I get her there in time and she doesn't disappear into the night for one of her NYC dates? And how do I make sure 250 of her closest friends don't say anything? So I had to come up with a clever idea that would interest and intrigue Ramona enough that she would surely stop by. So I created a fake invitation! I made sure all the key catch words were in the invitation to ensure that she would stop by. The invitation involved my glamorous friend Heather Kerzner moving back to NYC party and there would be many eligible rich men attending! She was hooked. On the night of the event Ramona did get a bit impatient as I was trying to make sure all was set up and everyone had arrived, so I was a bit late in picking her up, and she almost gave me the slip!
Ramona arrived at the Glasshouse and was totally surprised and overwhelmed, as you can see from the collapse to the floor! All her friends turned out, and Lawrence Scott did an extraordinary job turning an empty space into a plethora of food, performers and decorations! Wow! Thank you, Lawrence Scott Catering!
Now a few words about Tinsley and the living situation at Grey Gardens- GET OUT NOW! Tinsley, you can see where this is going. You have enough stress transitioning back to NYC after all that happened. The last thing you need is to feel unwelcome and live under house arrest. You are an adult and you should not have to answer a rule book of right and wrongs when you are a guest at someone's home. If you want to remain friends with Sonja, I believe you should find your own place and have an independent relationship form Sonja. The living situation makes me so uncomfortable!
Lastly, ugh the election party! I love Carole's passion and how informative she is about politics. Her expert journalism skills became apparent, and I loved every minute of it. We all, and I mean including the country, were very emotional about this election. An election and political strategy like this hasn't been seen before, and to be honest, it was almost surreal when President Trump won. But life goes on and we can now only hope that something good comes out of the next four years, and I was incorrect. The good news, I think, is that it stirred up a lot of reaction and involvement in politics never seen before. I hope this momentum continues and that we understand the strength of our voices collectively.
Well, next week is the fifth year anniversary of Richard's death. Can't believe its been that long. Tune in next week!"
