Lauri Peterson Reacts To Lydia McLaughlin’s RHOC Return!

As we previously reported, Lydia McLaughlin is returning to The Real Housewives of Orange County as a full-time cast member for the show's upcoming 12th season after a three year hiatus. Now, original cast member Lauri Peterson is sharing her thoughts on McLaughlin's return and has some words of advice for her.

“I really like Lydia,” Peterson told The Dirty. “I think her biggest challenge will be to balance her Christianity and being able to maintain her ground with the other women.”

She continued: “Reality TV only works if you speak your mind. If you think it, you must vocalize it in order for the viewer to understand your position.”

She added: “As Christian’s we are taught to turn the other cheek! In other words we generally keep negative thoughts to ourselves as to not hurt anyone.”

Last week it was reported that Vicki Gunvalson and Kelly Dodd are both returning to the Bravo hit reality show for season 12, a source close to production confirmed to Us Weekly.

The new season's roster is continuing to take shape. Shannon Beador will also be back for her fourth season and Tamra Judge will return for her 10th. The publication also reveals from sources that Meghan King Edmonds will not return after two seasons.

Heather Dubrow announced back in January that she will not appear on season 12. "These past five years have been an incredible journey, and I'm so proud to have been a part of such an iconic piece of pop culture," Dubrow said in a statement.
