Meghan King Edmonds Reportedly Turned Down ‘Friend Of The Housewives’ Role For Season 12 Of RHOC!

A few weeks it was reported that Meghan King Edmonds was leaving The Real Housewives of Orange County after two season and allegedly was not going be appear on the show's upcoming 12th season, however a new report is claiming that the new mommy was demoted and offered a "Friend of the Housewives" role but ultimately turned down the offer.

“Meghan was also offered a contract as a friend,” an insider close to production told The Dirty. “She has, however, turned it down.”

Edmonds and her husband, former baseball star Jim Edmonds, welcomed their first child, daughter Aspen, in November. A key focus of season 11 was Meghan undergoing in vitro fertilization after having previously struggled to conceive.

Last week, Heather Dubrow shocked fans when she announced that she was quitting The Real Housewives of Orange County after five seasons to focus on family and other business ventures.

"After a lot of careful thought and deliberation, I have decided not to return to RHOC this season. These past 5 years have been an incredible journey and I'm so proud to have been a part of such an iconic piece of pop culture," Heather said in an exclusive statement to The Daily Dish. "I am so grateful to Evolution Media, Bravo and the whole NBCU family for all of the incredible experiences and the opportunities RHOC has afforded me and my family. However, at this point in my life, I have decided to go in another direction and do what’s best for my family and career. Should I change my mind, I thank Andy Cohen, Evolution and Bravo for telling me that the door is always open."
