The Real Housewives Of Cheshire Officially Renewed For A Fifth And Sixth Season — Filming Starts Later This Month!

Fans of The Real Housewives of Cheshire are in for a treat. The ITVBe reality show has been commissioned for two new seasons in 2017. It was announced this week that the network will bring back the sassy reality show for a fifth and sixth season later this year and filming will begin later this month.

Manchester Evening News reports that series five and six have been given the green light - with filming to start on the new episodes by the end of January.

ITVBe has yet to confirm the full line-up of Housewives for the new seasons, however sources claims that all eight reality stars have been approached to make a return for the new shows.

The last series ended in November with plenty of fireworks between the show’s eight stars - WAGs Tanya Bardsley , Missé Beqiri and Leanne Brown , property entrepreneur Dawn Ward , millionaire’s wife Stacey Forsey , Forever Unique fashion boss Seema Malhotra , beauty salon owner Ampika Pickston and domestic goddess Lauren Simon.

It included heated feuds between Ampika and Dawn while Tanya even called Stacey a “Mrs Bucket” character claiming she looked down on the other girls. While Lauren gave Seema the nickname of "Scream-ma" after a heated dinner party.

The show also aired plenty of emotional moments for the cast, including Missé revealing the breakdown of her relationship with former Manchester United footballer Anders Lindegaard, and Ampika suffering a split with her “mystery man”, who has yet to be revealed on the show.

Glamorous Dawn, wife of ex-footballer Ashley Ward, had hinted as much when replying to a fan this week who asked when the show was to return, saying: “I think March time.”

A spokeswoman for ITVBe today said: "I can confirm that we have two new series of The Real Housewives of Cheshire coming to ITVBe in 2017."

While I'm happy that the show is returning, I really do feel like the show needs a cast shakeup because the drama is not that deep or serious compared to Australian or American installments. Ladies of London feels more "Real Housewives-esque" compared to RHOCheshire, pershaps the show needs new producers to give new life to the series?!

This show definitely needs the excitement that the first two seasons had because the current feuds seems redundant, old, forced and beyond petty. Either bring back Magali Gorre or replace a few wives with the new blood with exception of Ampika Pickston and Dawn Ward.
