Gorga confirmed rumors that Envy had temporarily closed after opening its doors about a year ago via her rep in a statement to Us Weekly earlier this month. “Melissa Gorga is and has always been an owner of the Envy by Melissa Gorga boutique,” Melissa's rep told Us Weekly. "Melissa and [her former business partner] Jackie [Beard Robinson] have had a difference of opinion on how the store should be run and at this point, Jackie is no longer involved in managing the boutique, but Melissa intends to maintain the success of the boutique by managing it on her own, and she is excited to open with a new inventory of spring fashions.”
Earlier this month, Melissa's ex-business partner Jackie explained why she wanted to end the partnership during an interview with TooFab. "You have people that quite frankly don't understand business... That's what I think ended our business relationship," Jackie said. "I think a lot of inexperience in business was her biggest issue."
