Cynthia Bailey Says She Will Remain Friends With Ex-Husband Peter Thomas Amid Divorce!

Cynthia Bailey is opening up about her current relationship with her ex-husband Peter Thomas. During last week's episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Bailey crashed the opening of ex-husband Peter Thomas' new Charlotte hot spot ClubOne and according to the former model, she felt "uncomfortable."

"It was a little awkward because I hadn't seen Peter in months prior to that, so I didn't know if he was gonna have a date there," Cynthia told The Daily Dish. "It was a little awkward because this is the first time that we had been out together in the same space — in his space, basically — and not be together."

But Cynthia said that even though she and Peter were going through a divorce, she still wanted to support him, as well as her friend Kenya Moore, who ended up having some major drama with her then-boyfriend Matt Jordan that night.

"As you can see, I looked amazing, and I came through. Sometimes you just have to be uncomfortable," Cynthia said. "And it was a little uncomfortable, but in the end, it was a good thing that I actually came for everybody."

Cynthia has maintained that she not only wants Peter to continue to have a relationship with her daughter, Noelle Robinson, but that she also wants to remain friends with Peter after their divorce is finalized, although she admits that might be "a little tricky."

"I always want to be cool with each other. Like, I don't want to see Peter somewhere and feel like I can't run over and say hello and give him a big hug. I've been with this man for almost 10 years. He's the reason I even moved to Atlanta. Although we're getting a divorce, a lot of great things came out of this marriage," Cynthia explained. "So it would be very awkward to see him and not say hello and have a drink or something if I saw him out. I don't know if we're gonna be, like, movie buddies or anything because we both will be moving on with our lives. But I want to be cool. I wish Peter well. I always will be his friend, whether we hang out or not."

Cynthia teased that more will be revealed about why she and Peter decided to call it quits when she sits down for this season's RHOA reunion. But for now, she's not interested in pointing fingers.

"I will just say Peter's entitled to feel however he wants to feel. I cannot take that from him. I know what I gave to this marriage, and I think I wholeheartedly supported his business ventures. I had just reached my personal breaking point. I felt like I didn't have any more to give. So for me, it's not about playing the blame game, who didn't do enough, who wasn't supportive enough. That's just not where I'm at with this divorce," Cynthia said. "I take full accountability for any shortcomings I may have had. I never said that I was the best wife on the planet. This is my first marriage. I'm sure I did a lot of things wrong. But I feel like I did the best that I could do, and I'm good with that."
