"I'm just confused because she already said she was leaving the show this summer," Ariana told E! News, with Tom adding, "She tweeted it and then she took it back down."
And then Tom and Ariana revealed that they had recently heard "she was trying to come back." So where does that leave us?
"Maybe just give it a week and maybe she'll tweet something different, I don't know," Tom said.
This season, fans have seen Katie Maloney, Stassi Schroeder and some of the others express annoyance over Tom and Ariana remaining friends with Lala and James Kennedy, but the couple hasn't found it that difficult being in the middle of the two feuding sides.
"We always just try to take a step back and realize what's important," Tom said, with Ariana adding, "We both try to stand up for what we believe it and usually someone talking smack to another person is not something we feel like we have to get in the middle of."
Then, when asked how Scheana is feeling after the breakup, Ariana replied, "She's good. I know that it's been a lot of ups and downs. I'm not with her every second of the day, so I know that I'm not necessarily seeing the emotional moments. But when I've seen her, I know that there's been good days and there's been bad days. But she's a really strong person, and I think she'll be OK. I love both of them."
