Kyle Richards Scripted TV Show ‘American Woman’ Gets Picked Up By TV Land For Series Order!

Kyle Richards has a lot to celebrate lately. Not only is The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will be returning better than ever next month but her upcoming TV project, American Woman, has been picked up by TV Land for a 12-episode series order, Deadline reports.

Richards is executive producing the dramedy, which is set in the 1970's and based on her childhood in Los Angeles. It stars Alicia Silverstone in the role inspired by Kyle's own mother, as well as fellow '90s It girl, Mena Suvari, as her friend. "So excited to share this! I am so grateful to be working w/ such a talented group of people to make this dream come true," Kyle confirmed on Instagram.

She also shared a very-groovy photo of the cast. "Part of our incredible cast of #americanwoman," Kyle wrote. "Can't wait for you all to see on @tvland."



The news about the series spread fast in the 90210 as Lisa Rinna quickly congratulated her pal on Facebook. "I'm so happy for you Kyle Richards!!!" the actress wrote. "I knew #AmericanWoman would get picked up! Congratulations! #TVMogul."



Erika Girardi also took to social media to congratulate her co-star. "Congrats @KyleRichards !! So happy for you!," she wrote.
