"[The idea of her coming back] all happened after they filmed the RHONJ reunion a few weeks ago," the source tells Entertainment Tonight.
During the season 7 reunion, Staub's name came up, and Giudice actually apologized for the way she behaved toward her during one of their most infamous blow-ups.
"Danielle has been very complimentary to Teresa on social media since her legal issues and jail time," the source said. "So, after the reunion, Teresa thought to reach out to Danielle to say hi. Teresa has really turned over a new leaf and figured, 'Why not? Life is too short to hold grudges.' And she will definitely be a great ally for Teresa to have."
However, a source claims that there have been not yet been any official conversations about casting for next season.
During a previous interview, Giudice made it clear that she would like to see Staub return to the Bravo hit reality series. "I would love for her to come back," Teresa told E! News. . "My thing is, I said what I had to say and that was it. It never went beyond that."
Housewives returning to the franchise isn't anything new. Dina Manzo previously returned to RHONJ, Bethenny Frankel came back to Real Housewives of New York City and Sheree Whitfield is back on The Real Housewives of Atlanta after leaving. Several Real Housewives of Beverly Hills veterans also regularly recur after leaving fulltime, including Kim Richards and Camille Grammer.
