Jules Wainstein Awarded $10K A Month In Spousal And Child Support From Ex-Husband Michael Wainstein!

On Thursday, September 8, Manhattan judge Michael Katz ruled that Real Housewives of New York City star Jules Wainstein will receive $10,000 in spousal and child support from her estranged husband, Michael Wainstein.

According to Us Weekly, Jules' estranged husband Michael agreed to pay her $200 a week to cover the food bill for their kids, son Jagger, 5, and daughter Rio, 3 — but refused his soon-to-be-ex-wife’s demand for $25,000 a month in spousal and child support.

According to the New York Daily News, Michael's lawyer, Morghan Leia Richardson, said that his businesses have “suffered tremendously from the publicity” he has received from the couple’s public divorce. Additionally, the outlet reports that Richardson claimed that her client is struggling financially because he is in heavy credit card debt and an apartment that he and Jules purchased to rent out is currently vacant.

Though Jules was not granted the amount she asked for in spousal and child support, Judge Katz ordered that Michael, a principal at Private Capital Group, give the Modern Alkeme founder $10,000 a month.

While the pair did not speak and avoided eye contact at all costs during their court hearing, they will continue to live under the same roof. Katz said that Michael will live on the first floor (with second-floor office access) of the once-in-love duo’s downtown triplex, while Jules and their children will occupy the top two stories.

"Both parties will remain in their respective spaces and with no infringement,” the judge said. “Both of you need to keep a respectful distance, especially for the children's sake. It would not serve them well if there is visible tension between you.”

As previously reported, Jules and Michael decided to call it quits on their eight-year marriage after she learned of her husband’s alleged indiscretions with another woman.

Last week it was reported that Jules will not return to the Real Housewives of New York City just after one season. Her rep tells E! News, "Jules is going good through a divorce and is putting her family first."
