Real Housewives Of Sydney Star Athena Levendi Slams The Cast Of The Real Housewives Of Melbourne: “They Lack Decorum”

Last week, the cast of The Real Housewives of Sydney were officially revealed. During the announcement of the upcoming reality series, cast member AthenaX Levendi claws came out and slammed the ladies of The Real Housewives of Melbourne, referring them as 'retired casino waitresses.'

"We Sydney women are so prepared," the mother-of-three cheekily told The Daily Mail. "It's like going on a race with someone who has never exercised in their life. We are like thoroughbred athletes. Like, look at us."

"The Melbourne housewives to me look like retired casino waitresses. They lack decorum," she concluded with a laugh.

Despite her harsh comments towards the Melbourne installment, Athena admitted she didn't want to cause any conflict on the upcoming Foxtel reality series, which will begin filming in September.

She said she wanted to 'inspire people' and show them that conflict and profanities wasn't always the best way to mend a broken relationship.

"I'm more of a softer character in the sense that I wouldn't go out seeking to harm them. I'm not prickly, I'm not abrasive and I'm not rude."

"Sometimes confronting someone with something that has moved you in a sad way and delivering it in a kind way can actually impact and get your message through in a more powerful way than if you sit there and say profanities."

Athena made it clear that she doesn't have time for social media drama and won't waste her time with the internet trolls.

"[Everyone seems to have an opinion] we are fat, too tall, too busty or not busty enough," she said. "Others opinion is not our business and when you seek to make an opinion your business then you are setting yourself up for a lot of pain."

The Real Housewives of Sydney is set to premiere sometime in 2017 on Foxtel's Arena.
