"I do like complications, I'm always looking for a headache so this is a perfect kind of environment to be," Kirkpatrick told The Cafe NZ about why she deiced to join RHOAKL.
"Well this is a first for New Zealand so I just wanted to be a part of it," said Blanchard about joining RHOAKL. "I think it's fantastic and I love reality TV anyways so it's right up my alley."
Both ladies admitted of being big fans of The Real Housewives franchise. Michelle revealed that her favorites are The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and The Real Housewives of Atlanta, meanwhile Gilda said her favorites are The Real Housewives of New York City, The Real Housewives of Orange County and The Real Housewives of Melbourne.
When asked how they found filming the upcoming series: "It's a very interesting experience. I'm not used to having cameras," said Kirkpatrick. "At the beginning it was intense but now I don't notice [the cameras] anymore, so it's not as invasive as you imagined it to be. Sometimes you forget your mic'd and that the cameras are on and you say something and oops."
When asked if the show will have plenty of drama, "Of course you will," said Blanchard. However, Gilda summed up what fans can expect about the upcoming Bravo NZ series, "I think you'll see a nuclear explosion."
The Real Housewives of Auckland is set to premiere next month on Bravo New Zealand.
