Johnny ‘The Greek’ Karagiorgis Dies Of A Heart Attack!

We are sad to report that Johnny 'The Greek' Karagiorgis passed away this weekend. AllAboutTRH first reported that the former Real Housewives of New Jersey star passed away due to a heart attack.

The Greek and his wife Penny Drossos Karagiorgis were mostly known for appearing in the fifth season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, the couple owned a New Jersey hair salon that series regulars Kim DePaola and main cast member Teresa Giudice visited on the show back in 2013.

Johnny was infamously involved in a bloody brawl with Joe Gorga after the angry reality star approached him at Kim D's Posche 2 store opening following remarks he had allegedly made about his wife Melissa. The brutal group fight was never aired by Bravo, and resulted in Johnny filing a lawsuit against Joe, as well as Chris and Jacqueline Laurita.

Joe and the Lauritas later testified that the salon owner was 'obsessed' with the stars of the reality series. As a result of the lawsuit, both Johnny and his wife Penny did not return to the show, reports The Daily Mail.

On Saturday, Johnny's friend Dave Paladino shared his condolences on Instagram writing: 'Devastating!! Lost a good friend tonight! Johny The Greek @johnnythegrk rest well my friend #RIP #friend'

Johnny is survived by his son Niko as well as his wife Penny.

Penny took to her Facebook page via Radar Online to write a heartbreaking message following the passing of her husband.

“I’m trying to come to terms that your (sic) gone that this is not a dream or one of your jokes and waiting to hear you come through the door but you’re not,” Penny Drossos Karagiorgis wrote.

“Our bed is empty, our house is silent without you here, I don’t know why you were taken from us,” Penny continued in the emotional post.

“I don’t know where to start or how to start our plans are or dreams are gone you were my post my warrior you promised me forever get God called you home.”

Our thuoghts and prayers are with Penny, Niko and the rest of the family during this difficult time.
