Renee is known for her loud screaming matches and dramatic meltdowns, which will blend perfectly for the Channel 5 reality series.
"Renee is all about loyalty - can you imagine how heated things will get during face to face nominations?" added the source. "She'll be the most compelling American housemate we've ever had."
Other names set to enter the CBB house this summer includes Gogglebox stars Chris Steed and Stephen Webb.
Past American controversial housemates included Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag, Perez Hilton, Farrah Abraham, Jenna Jameson and Tiffany "New York" Pollard.
