Teresa Giudice Visits Husband Joe Giudice In Prison For The Very First Time!

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice had her first visit with her husband Joe Giudice in prison, three weeks after he entered Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix on March 23 to serve his 41-month sentence.

A source close to the family tells People the visit took place on Friday, April 15.

"She was so happy to see him. It was a very emotional visit," the source said about the meeting between the married couple. Prior to the visit, family attorney James J. Leonard Jr. shared that "approval is complicated [for Teresa] due to the rules of her supervised release" following her release from prison back in December. There's no word on if or when their four daughters will be able to visit their father.

"Joe is doing well, but really misses Teresa and the girls," adds the source.

"The staff and administration at Fort Dix have all been very pleasant to deal with, they are all extremely professional," Leonard previously told People.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey returns later this year, and will feature Teresa as she returns to her normal life following her 11-month prison sentence in 2015. It has been rumored that the new season will air sometime in June/July, however Bravo has not officially released a premiere date.
