Kim Fields Reveals She Got ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Advice From NeNe Leakes!

Real Housewives of Atlanta newbie Kim Fields will make her Dancing with the Stars debut this month, and she reveals that she has already has one former competitor cheering for her. "NeNe [Leakes] sent a text and said congratulations and have a lot of fun," Kim told E! News.

"We did a selfie for her that she really loved. She just told me to have fun."

The actress/director will be dancing alongside pro Sasha Farber for Season 22, and Kim reveals that shes's already having a blast — thanks to him. "Every day, it's one of the highlights of my day. To know that I'm going to rehearse, to learn something new," she said. "The way that he teaches it, it's great working with him."

Kim also explained why she chose to join the show now. "They invited me to the party and my dance card wasn't quite full just yet, pardon the pun. It was just the right time, you know? The right time in my career," she said. " I'm doing new things, spreading my wings in a lot of different waters. This is another wonderful step in that direction."

And, her partner, promises that we'll see a side of Kim we have yet to see. "I'm just excited for her journey. I feel like America hasn't seen the real Kim and in a couple weeks, when we go live, I feel like America's going to fall in love with her. She's just such an amazing person and the energy that she brings out is brilliant," he gushed. "I'm just happy I get to be a part of it with Kim."

Kim won't be the first Real Housewife star to compete for the coveted Mirrorball Trophy. NeNe Leakes, Lisa Vanderpump, Lisa Rinna, Joanna Krupa and Kim Zolciak-Biermann have all appeared on past seasons of DWTS.
