Gina Liano Explains Her Friendship With Pettifleur Berenger!

Gina Liano is taking to her Arena Blog to dish on this week's episode of The Real Housewives of Melbourne. Gina Liano explains her friendship Pettifleur Berenger and offers her advice. Gina writes:

"Last season Pettifleur and I didn’t get off to a good start at all. At the reunion she found herself in a difficult situation where the girls accused her of drinking, which they didn’t see as a problem but she did.

Having been on the receiving end of the girls’ rampage in the past, I felt the need to reach out to her to make sure she was okay and from that we developed a friendship which the viewers didn’t get to see until season 3.

Season 3 went off with a bang. I decided to take Pettifleur to Susie’s baking day, because I didn’t want her to feel isolated and I’m not sure in hindsight if that was such a good idea. Leading the pack in a screaming match she was left like an alley cat in her own corner fighting with all the girls. She really dug herself into a hole especially with Gamble after she called her a black widow, which was odd to say the least. It was equally odd that Lydia told Gamble, explaining her betrayal of Pettifleur away as an effort to mend the relationship between them.

I caught up with Pettifleur to give her some advice and I was hoping the advice didn’t turn to tough love. She’s not always good at listening but on this occasion she seemed to be open to some feedback.

First of all we needed to address the issue of her screaming. It’s simply a matter of raise your argument not your voice. That’s tough to do when your argument really doesn’t have a lot of substance. I know Pettifleur struggles to be heard at times but no one wants to listen to her being rude or offensive. Understandably Pettifleur is upset that Lydia betrayed her and told Gamble about the black widow comment. She seems to regret having said that now but at the time she was not backing down at all by adding more insult to injury…Sugar daddy.com. You might explain that as wit Pettifleur but it was certainly lost in translation on this occasion.

Is it a case of being misunderstood? Is it wit or is that another misunderstanding? Just because someone thinks they are witty does not mean they are, and therein lies the chip on the shoulder. Pettifleur is relentless in her effort to convince everyone around her that she is someone that she think she is. She might be right. She might be the wittiest person alive, but no one will believe her if she’s yelling and name calling. There’s no quick wit required for that.

It’s good to see the vulnerable side of Pettifleur. Somehow I don’t think it will last long. How we react is always a choice. Let’s see what choice Pettifleur makes in the coming episodes. I’m sure at one point I raise my voice and not my argument. Yikes. Not my finest moment. Lol
