It's A Boy! Kandi Burruss And Todd Tucker Welcome Their First Son, Ace Wells Tucker!

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss gave birth to a son on January 6, her rep confirmed to People. The couple welcomed a “bouncing baby boy” at 8:42 AM, weighing in at 7 lbs., 6 oz. "Todd and I have been waiting so long for his delivery and he is so very perfect,” Kandi said in a statement. The baby's name is Ace Wells Tucker.

This is the first child for the couple, however they each have daughters from previous relationships: Kandi's daughter Riley and Todd's daughter Kaela. Before they welcomed the baby boy, the couple was open about their struggles to get pregnant, revealing a battle with infertility and eventually choosing to pursue IVF. Ahead of the delivery,

The Daily Dish spoke to Kandi about how excited the Burruss-Tucker clan was to welcome the new addition to the crew. "Riley is like, 'Oh I can't wait to see the baby. I'll help babysit, but I'm not changing diapers,'" she said (in the clip above). "So she's the one that I'm like, 'OK, we're gonna have to workon you. My mother is excited. She's actually working on her own baby room in her house. And she told me, 'Granny needs a nanny.' I'm like, Granny just don't know she might be the nanny.'"

Just hours after giving birth to Baby Tucker, Kandi posted the first photo of the newborn to her Facebook page on Wednesday. The pic features Kandi and Todd's son being held by his sister Kaela Tucker while sister Riley Burruss looks on adoringly. Kandi didn't say much about the snapshot, but she did confirm that she is "so in love" with her new baby.

Later in the day, Kandi shared a photo of Todd cradling their newborn. And he had this message to share with the world, "Me and my little man!!! I wish my mom could be here to meet him. She would be so happy and proud of Kandi and I!!! God is good!!! All the time!!!"

Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker admitted to having some some trouble coming up with a name for their newborn, but the Real Housewives of Atlanta couple finally settled with a unique name for their son: Ace Wells Tucker. Kandi confirmed the name on Thursday (January 7), one day after she gave birth.

"We named our beautiful baby boy Ace because I wanted something unique," she told E! News. "When he becomes school age, hopefully he won't have to worry about another person in the class having his name."

"More than that, Ace represents the number 1 and that of the highest quality and our baby Ace is definitely that!" she added. "His middle name Wells was Todd's mother's last name. Using her last name as his middle name was our way of honoring her memory."
