"It was really great to hang out with Cynthia," NeNe told The Daily Dish. "And, again, we're still a work in progress. It's been a long road of recovery for us. This is something very different for me. Generally when I have a friendship that's has gone south, I used to leave it in the South [but we were] in the North hanging out [and] trying to work it out. And I generally don't work it out. I usually just close the door and keep it moving... Again, like I said, I'm a work in progress and this whole relationship that we gave is a work in progress. We're having a good time though."
"I think it's great," she explained. "I'm really happy that Sheree showed some love. We hadn't seen each other in years, actually, until I recently saw her about a month ago, maybe. So we hadn't seen each other in a really long time. I was really happy that she's showing some love and support, and Cynthia. Definitely, it's always great to have those girls reach out and support cause I don't usually get that kind of support from the Housewives of Atlanta — from other cities, not the Housewives of Atlanta. It's really strange, but I don't generally get any support from them."
Cynthia isn't the only RHOA lady that has popped up on NeNe's radar as of late. Sheree Whitfield recently offered NeNe some love ahead of her debut as Matron Mama Morton in Broadway's Chicago.
Sheree does admit she would have liked the chance to speak with NeNe Leakes, who announced her exit from RHOA over the summer.
"I was a little disappointed because I've always said I would definitely like to be back on the show when NeNe is there just so we can see how we've grown [and if] we're we able to move forward, or are we still gonna be in the same place, as what, four seasons ago? That whole dynamic would be interesting," Sheree told The Daily Dish. She also revealed her biggest hope for a NeNe conversation, should it ever happen, considering they've had some bad blood in the past. "I hope it would be grown up. I hope we would be able to sit and have a civilized conversation... and maybe have some laughs."

Besdies Cynthia and Sheree, Porsha Williams was spotted with Leakes as Williams surprised her former co-star during an interview she was doing. "Look who done found me in NYC! @porsha4real pops in on my interview like SURPRISE," wrote NeNe on her Instagram.
