Is Julianne Wainstein Joining #RHONY For Season 8?

New housewife alert! According to a new report, The Real Housewives of New York City may be getting a new socialite to join the cast following Heather Thomson's departure. Apparently, Julianne Wainstein, a half-Japanese beauty who lives with her wheeler-dealer husband in Tribeca may join the Bravo reality series for Season 8.

Source claim that Wainstein is the leading candidate to replace Heather Thomson, who announced earlier this month she is leaving the Bravo show after three years. “Good casting,” a friend of Wainstein’s told Page Six. “She’s pretty. She’s fun. She parties.”

Julianne has been married since 2008 to Michael Wainstein, the founder of Private Capital Group, whose website cites investments in petcarerx.com, an online pet pharmaceutical company; Priority Staffing Solutions, a personnel provider; and Enterconnect, Inc. an “intranet/extranet portal,” whatever that is.

But Wainstein is better known as a former partner of twin nightlife impresarios Derek and Daniel Koch. Their partnership ended bitterly two years ago.

The site also reports that Julianne was recommended to producers by her friend Dorinda Medley.

A source close to the production said, “They talk to a lot of people.” It won’t be known which cast members are coming back next year until new contracts are signed.
