According to The Daily Telegraph, scouts have been on the hunt for talent in both New South Wales as well as Queensland.
The show’s executive producer, Kylie Washington has previously told the publication that door is open for more cities to host the show, saying the Matchbox production could “handle another (setting).”
Denying “it will (ever) be like the States where there are several different franchises running,” Washington said, “it’s not sustainable (here) and you don’t want to flood the market ... but I think there’s scope to take it (elsewhere).”
Earlier this month, the cast of third season of The Real Housewives of Melbourne was officially announced by Foxtel, revealing Susie McLean as the newest cast member, becoming the show's official eighth housewife!
Real Housewives of Melbourne will continue filming until November. The third season is set to premiere in early 2016.
The Melbourne series set record ratings for a Foxtel reality series when it first launched, pulling an accumulated audience of 542,000 viewers. It has since aired on US network Bravo, proving so popular it was moved from a weekend timeslot to prime-time. The series has also aired in the UK and New Zealand.
