The B is back! According to a new report, Bethenny Frankel is in final negotiations on her contract for the upcoming eight season of The Real Housewives of New York City. But the question is, who else is returning and who's out? Find out below!
Apparently, LuAnn de Lesseps and Carole Radziwill are also deep in negotiations and are seeking raises to return to the Bravo show.
Network execs and the show’s producers have not yet extended new season contracts to Ramona Singer or Kristen Taekman, who was rumored to be on the chopping block for being “boring.” But Taekman is back in play again after it was revealed that her husband, Josh, had an account on cheating site Ashley Madison, reports Confidenti@ls' NY Daily News.
“Kristen definitely isn’t boring any more,” says the insider. “She was perfect and pretty, and now she has problems like everyone else. That makes for good TV.”
The site also reports that Dorinda Medley will also be offered a contract because she is “lovable” and just kooky enough to appeal to viewers.
However, according to the site (and as previously reported by other sources), Heather Thomson will not be returning.
“Heather says she quit, but it was a mutual decision after meeting with the network,” says the source. “Kind of like a, ‘Hey, I don’t want to come back,’ and ‘We don’t want you to come back’ kind of thing. Heather didn’t like the drama and said it was bad for business and her personal life in the end.”
In recent events, Jenny McCarthy revealed that Bethenny Frankel sent her an email asking her if she would like to join the Bravo hit reality series.
“I like watching the drama. The problem is I’d have to go in with a choice, and that is to be the peaceful warrior or the s--- starter,” McCarthy said following the email. “I don’t know which one I’d enjoy doing. I don’t want to ruin anybody’s life, but a lot of those bitches need to be slapped in the face.”
UPDATE: On Tuesday, September 8, Heather Thomson officially confirmed her departure from The Real Housewives of New York City after three seasons. “When the opportunity came to do this show, I had this list of pros and cons,” she tells US Weekly. “Three years in, the pros list is just gone. They don’t exist anymore.”
