“She has definitely signed on to the season as a full housewife,” an insider tells In Touch Weekly.
“Erika is excited to be part of the show,” adds the insider. “She loves that they’re going to show both sides of her life, the serious side during the day and performing in gay bars at night. It’s going to be a crazy season.”
Jayne, a singer with eight No. 1 dance songs on the US Billboard Club/Dance chart, and her husband are friends with RHOBH stars Yolanda and David Foster, and a source tells E! News she's already begun filming with the cast.
"She brings a young energy," says the source. "And she has sex appeal. She's married but she loves to party and have fun."
The new addition comes shortly after it was revealed that Brandi Glanville and Kim Richards were not returning for the upcoming season as full-time housewives, however it's reported that Glanville may appear in a reduced role, aka 'friend of the housewives.'
Meanwhile, Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, Eileen Davidson, Yolanda Foster and Lisa Rinna are all expected to return.
A source confirms to Perez Hilton that these stories are, in fact, true, however E! News reports that it's unclear whether Jayne has joined the Bravo hit series as an official Housewife, or just as a small role.
Bravo had no comment on the casting news.
