RHOA Season 8 Starts Filming In Two Weeks; Porsha Williams Returning As A Full Time Cast Member!

Last week, NeNe Leakes announced that she was leaving the Real Housewives of Atlanta after seven seasons to pursue other television projects. Despite Leakes' departure, Bravo will continue the show without her, as the network renewed the reality show for its eight season.

According to a new report, Bravo begins filming its eighth season later this month! “They start filming in just two weeks,” a source tells Radar Online.

Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore and Phaedra Parks are all returning for another season, the source adds.

And after a demotion from main housewives to 'friend of,' Porsha Williams will return to full time status this year, just like Countess Luann de Lesseps.

“Porsha is getting her peach back,” the source says. “They see her much more as an asset now than in previous seasons.”

Besides Leakes departure, Claudia Jordan will not be returning, as it's been reported she was fired. No word if Bravo plans to bring her back in a reduced role.

In Leakes and Jordan’s absence, new faces will likely be joining the women in the coming weeks.

“They definitely need to spice up the show and give the girls something more to work with,” the Bravo insider explains, adding that the official cast won’t be announced until September.

Facts of Life actress Kim Fields and Married to Medicine star Mariah Huq have been rumored to join the Bravo hit reality series.
