Dorinda Medley Talks Heather Thomson Feud And Friendships With Fellow Housewives!

In a recent interview, Real Housewives of New York City star Dorinda Medley revealed how she got along so well with her co-stars in the beginning of the season and what caused her RHONY vacation blowout with co-star Heather Thomson.

“We’ve been a good support system to each other over the years,” Medley said of her co-stars to OK! Magazine. “It’s been a very Sex and the City moment this season and I think people feel that.”

She added that for the first time, viewers “really want to come back and be involved in it.”

“People are like, ‘I want to tune in to see what’s happening in that world. New York is cool again. These are real women doing real things,’” she explained.

Despite the strong relationships that have formed, Medley got into an argument with Thomson in a recent episode when she felt Thomson ignored her while walking to a restaurant.

“I see a very different side to her,” Medley said of Thomson, who she met in the Berkshires before the season began. “We were very different in the Berkshires. It was kind of like a summer romance we had, but I think this environment brought out different personalities that I think both of us didn’t expect.”

Although Medley will continue to feud with her co-star in upcoming episodes, she has yet clashed with Bethenny Frankel, who has been involved in most of the season’s fights.

“Bethenny at first is definitely a little bit overwhelming,” Medley said. “ She’s very strong, she’s very direct. If she likes you, she likes you. If she doesn’t, she doesn’t. I always say being with Bethenny is like peeling an onion. You got to do it slowly and carefully, and then she’s fine.”

Medley also continues to be on good terms with best friend Ramona Singer, as she insisted that the show will never come between them.

“Ramona has been through so much with me… especially this last journey when my husband was not well and when he passed,” she said of her friend of 20 years. “Once you’ve been through that kind of experience together, reality TV is nothing. These are small things, they’re not big picture. So I think we’ll be fine. We’ll always be fine.”

The Real Housewives of New York City airs Tuesday nights at 9pm/8c on Bravo!
