"I feel for her because [addiction] is a very difficult disease. And people fight it for years. And I think she has a good heart. She's a good girl," Black told Perez Hilton during her book party of her new novel Red Carpets & White Lies.
Black also gave Richards a warning, especially since there are conflicting reports that she's been kicked off the show:
"Reality TV is stressful. Maybe a little time out will be good for her. On the other hand, I'm sure it's a great income source for her. So you know, I feel bad for her. When you're on that show, everyone's looking for that 'A-ha, caught you' moment. And if they don't find it, they'll make it up. So, it's a challenge."1
Lea who appeared on the Miami franchise for three seasons used all her experiences as inspiration for her new novel:
"I love the characters in this book. They are all complex, complicated, fabulous, crazy, exotic, sexy, scandalous — they got it all. It's a great summer read, it's a great airplane read."
