Tanya, who is married to footballer husband, Phil Bardsley – said that she couldn't have recovered from the assault without him by her side.
"I don't think I would have got through it if Phil hadn't been there for me," she said. "I think everything we've been through has made us strong. What happened is all in my book, Phil was amazing."
Phil added: "We'd spent the night in the hotel and then I went to watch Man United and Tanya stayed in bed, feeling comfortable in a nice hotel, and then that happens."
Asked how she was able to move on, Tanya explains how she was able to move on from the traumatic situation.
"I had a choice to let it ear me up and get bitter or to let it go and move on so I chose to get better instead of bitter. There are millions of people who go through a lot worse so you choose to focus on what you're grateful for instead."
Tanya is looking froward to her future as a business woman and a reality star as one of the #RHOCheshire.
"I've got the second series, then hope for three, four, five! I've got a jewellery range out too."
