via ITV's official press release:

ITV today announced the return of its popular original series The Real Housewives of Cheshire to ITVBe.

The Cheshire housewives hit ITVBe screens in January 2015. With viewers enjoying following the wives’ glamourous lives, the series quickly became one of the most successful original commissions for the channel since its launch.

Series 2 of The Real Housewives of Cheshire, which will return later this year, promises to bring audiences a healthy dose of drama, laughs and lavish lifestyles. All six original Cheshire housewives are set to return to the series so audiences will get to re-immerse themselves in the lives of Ampika Pickston, Dawn Ward, Lauren Simon, Leanne Brown, Magali Gorré, Tanya Bardsley and their wide circle of friends in their hectic social scene.

ITVBe, which launched in October 2014, is a channel dedicated to lifestyle and entertainment programming, featuring real people and real lives. It’s the exclusive home of The Only Way is Essex as well as other UK original commissions and a range of American acquired shows, such as the Real Housewives franchise.

The Real Housewives of Cheshire is produced by Monkey’s Executive Producers Sean Murphy and David Granger and Series Producer, Mike Swindells. The series has been recommissioned by Amanda Stavri, Commissioner for Entertainment, ITV2 & ITVBe.

Monkey is a NBCUniversal International Television Production company. NBCUniversal’s “The Real Housewives” brand now has six international versions and seven franchises in the USA.

Let's hope they make the new season better than the first one, starting with the opening taglines and doing a proper Real Housewives finale, like actually showing updates of what each girl has been up too since filming and an actual reunion special. That being said congrats to all the ladies, producers and the network, here's to a second season of more drama, cat fights and wine throwing!
