During their conversation, Melissa opened up about her new jewelry line and more, but Patti took the opportunity to find out how Melissa's sister-in-law Teresa Giudice is doing in prison, where she's serving a 15-month sentence for fraud and other charges.
"I really don't want to discuss Teresa," Melissa said at first. "She's doing well. Everything is great—I wouldn't say great, but you know what I'm saying. She's doing as well as she could be."
Last month, Melissa also opened up about how Teresa is dealing with being separated from her family. "I think it's not easy being away from the children," she said. "I think that's the hardest part. There is a limited amount of free time. She's always on the phone with her mother and her children."
Still, Melissa admitted that she hasn't had the chance to see Teresa: "I think she's keeping her visits for her children. She's going to want every visit to be with her children."
