The Bravo reality star also shares an essential secret to making her marriage work.
"When I first started the show, I was very buttoned-up and very reserved," she explains to People in a new interview. "It's really been an evolution for me in the group and on the show."
Heather reveals that last season was a rough ride for her. "I was very tired, and I didn't see the other girls a lot. I felt very isolated," she says. "I was really angry last year, and I wasn't sure why. I think that's why."
After her own filming wrapped and husband Terry set out to shoot season 2 of his E!' hit reality show Botched, they made a decision that allowed her to refocus on her herself and her family.
And she's happy with the way things have been going: "I need to be in charge of the family and our marriage and make sure everyone is functioning, and then I'll have my time again," she says. "You need to make those critical decisions, and it made me such a happier person, and it allowed me to relax."
