Bethenny Frankel Says Returning To RHONY Is Like Going Back To High School!

Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel has been absent for three seasons, but the B has officially returned, and she's glad to be sharing screen time with a some of her former castmates. "Some of them I've known for many years," she said on The Today Show. "It feels like I'm going back to high school—like a high school reunion."

After leaving the franchise in 2010 to pursue numerous personal and professional endeavors, Bethenny admits that at the time she just wasn't getting fulfillment from the show. "It had gotten to a point where I really didn't enjoy it anymore," she says. "Now, I'm so glad that I waited, because I'm really enjoying it."

Despite having plenty of other opportunities after the demise of her talk show, it was RHONY that she wanted to revisit. "People say that because of the failure of my talk show I had to come back," she explains. "I was offered Shark Tank and Dancing With the Stars and Cinderella—but I wanted to go home again."

Three years later, with plenty of extra life experience under her belt, Bethenny's embracing the opportunity—drama and all. "I just have a different perspective," she says. "There is drama, but people going through so many interesting things personally, so many transformations and transition, that I think it's the most interesting season—and it's funny, which I missed. I missed the humor of it."
