He’s a Radio Host
Stassi and Patrick’s initial connection occurred over the airwaves. At the time, Patrick was hosting a Sirius Satellite XM show called Cocktails With Patrick. He’s shifted to a new role on Mad Dog Sports Radio (also on Sirius Satellite XM), hosting The Wrap.
They Met on Twitter
Stassi listened to Patrick’s first show for three years. But it was after he did a segment on soulmates that she knew she had to reach out. What better way than Twitter?! “I was listening over the summer and he was talking about soulmates and how his soulmate could be across the country, and I tweeted at him,” she told Wetpaint. “We met, and it was like magic.” Aw! For their one year anniversary, Stassi adorably shared the screenshot of the tweet on her Instagram.
He’s Supportive of Her Career
The blonde bombshell recently scored her own hosting gig—a podcast on Play.It called Straight Up With Stassi, and her beau couldn’t be more excited for her. He made it a point to take to his own Twitter to promote his leading lady’s new endeavor.
He Doesn’t Have an Instagram
Aside from aggressively tweeting for professional purposes, Patrick seems to stay out of the limelight by staying out of social media—Instagram in particular. And despite the photo-sharing network being a major guilty pleasure of her own, she’s slightly thrilled that her boyfriend doesn’t share the same sentiment. “I think it’s the hottest thing,” she said of him not having an account. “He could just care less.”
He Gets Along With Her Family
A major plot twist for the #PumpRules star was her family’s disapproval of Jax. When it comes to Patrick, she doesn’t have that problem. “He’s met my mom, my sister, and my brother—they adore him,” she says. “My sister hates every single person that I date, so this is a huge deal that she loves him.
…But They’re Not Quite Ready For a Family of Their Own
“We’ve decided in five years it would be a good time to have a baby,” she told Wetpaint. “I’m not in a rush.”
They ARE Ready for a Walk Down the Aisle, Though!
There may be no rush to have children, but Stassi knows for sure that she’s found the one. “I don’t need to meet new people,” she says. “I can’t imagine being single and I can’t imagine not having him.” How sure is she? She’d be willing to tie the knot pretty much whenever! “If tomorrow he proposed, I would be ready.”
