Jackie Gillies Talks About Lydia Schiavello And Gina Liano's Awkward Car Ride And Gives Advice To The New Housewives!

In a recent interview with Bravo, Jackie Gillies talks about the season two premiere episode of The Real Housewives of Melbourne. Jackie talks about the gossip at Janet's party, Lydia and Gina's awkward car ride and gives advice to the new ladies. Check it out below!

BravoTV.com: When Chyka praised your abilities, how did it make you feel and how was that experience hearing how touched she was?

Jackie Gillies: I’ve been doing readings now for about 12 years and I’ve done readings for tens of thousands of people and I’m always hearing feedback of how the things I’ve said have happened. So I’m always hearing it. But what makes my heart sing is that I’m just the vessel and your angels, your spirt guides, your family members have come to me to give me a message that you need to hear. So when people see me, I’m not looking for the praise, it’s that your angels love you enough to come to me to be able to give you that message that you need to hear in that moment.

So I do recall, and most of the time that I do readings I can’t remember what I say because it doesn’t come from me it comes from the other side, with Chykawhen I went up to her and said, "What’s going on here. You’ve got lumps in your breast, you need to get it checked out." She knew she had lumps and didn’t tell anybody and this one day I just felt like I had to message her. I just do that a lot of the time to a lot of the Housewives, even my friends and family members. I messaged her and I said I know you’re at the doctor's but everything is going to be okay. She didn’t tell anyone she was at the doctors, and she came out of that feeling so comfortable in knowing that her angels were saying that she was going to be fine. Usually lumps in the breast for women represent that they take on too much burdens in nurturing everybody else except for themselves and that’s taking a lot of other peoples negative energy. So it brought peace to her knowing in that moment and that her angels were looking out for her.

BravoTV.com: What did you think of Gina and Lydia’s really awkward car ride on the way there?

JG: I was like -- crickets. Literally. I mean it was a very awkward. I think a lot of stuff happened on Season 1, and Lydia coopt a lot of flak from Season 1 for kind of being Andrea’s friend and being there for her. I think because she copped a lot of flak, she felt like she owed her an apology because people were saying “you’re really mean to Gina” or you did this or you did that, but the viewer’s only see a small snippet of the whole conversation. It was quite awkward, that was like crickets. But you know what, that’s Gina’s and Lydia’s journey, they’re both adults and they need to come together and be able to move on from that. I’m very much the type of person that if I do have a problem with somebody, I’ll go to you and discuss it with you, but then I like to move on. I don’t like to harp around with all this negativity. We’re all humans we all make mistakes and even with somebody who frustrates me, I really try to step outside of myself and look why they’re doing it and try really hard not to judge them because, you know, we’re all on our life journey.

BravoTV.com: So how was the party?

JG: Janet’s party! Oh my god, didn’t you see me dancing all night long? Everyone is over here gossiping, crapping on and here I was just whipping it up dancing, having tequila shots and having the best time. I was there to celebrate Janet’s birthday. You meet her son at the party, who was in very, very bad accident, I was happy for Janet because she really is one of my best friends. She is a very genuine person and even though it may come across that she’s starting drama, gossiping or any of that, she really isn’t.

I was really just happy that her son had come out and I was celebrating that, because he came out for the first time in two years. This party to me was celebrating that with her son and also with Janet because she really is an inspiration that people haven’t seen yet.

I think for me, I’ve always said even with the new girls coming in, that you have to be true to who you are, don’t put a bravado on because I see a lot of that with some of the girls and you’ll be accepted I think if you pretend to be someone that you are not the camera will show that eventually and that’s what I’ve always said. Be truthful, be true to who you are and be generous, be generous in in your spirt to other people. Don’t try to stand on top of people to get to where you want to get to in life.

Bravotv.com: What have you learned from Season 1 going into Season 2?

JG: The thing that I’ve learned going into Season 2 is that I shouldn’t swear as much! That’s what I’ve learned. I mean I’m very much about keeping it real, so I don’t think that I regret anything I’ve done except for I probably could’ve sweared a little bit less . I do swear a lot in Croatian but it doesn’t sound as nice as in English.

Bravotv.com: Do you have any advice for the new Housewives?

JG: I think for me, I’ve always said even with the new girls coming in, that you have to be true to who you are, don’t put a bravado on because I see a lot of that with some of the girls and you’ll be accepted I think if you pretend to be someone that you are not the camera will show that eventually and that’s what I’ve always said. Be truthful, be true to who you are and be generous, be generous in in your spirt to other people. Don’t try to stand on top of people to get to where you want to get to in life.

BravoTV.com: What was your favorite part about this Season?

JG: Oh my god launching some more of our products with La Mascara. Yeah I think in Season 1 when I launched La Mascara there were a lot of naysayers saying "Oh, Jackie you won’t be able to do that."  But actually seeing me manifesting along the way, and we’ve been blessed enough that we now have five products in Australia sold at Dan Murphy’s. It’s one of the biggest distributors in Australia and we’re now taking our cocktail line here to America! It’s such a great fit for us to able to do that and we’ve also been able to look for the new face of our product.

Ben and I, literally, I think the biggest thing, was to take money from our own bank account to give to somebody because we wanted to give back. We feel blessed enough to be able to give something back and I think that’s what we all should do as human beings and being on this show has given me the advantage or the blessing to be able to showcase that. So the biggest things are launching our new product and being able to give back.
