“I made a decision when I finished filming that I wouldn’t’ do another season,” Liano tells the Herald Sun. “I felt drained and I must say the experience wasn’t particularly pleasant.”
However the reaction of viewers when the show went to air made her put aside any reservations.
“The audience support sustained me,” Liano explains. “With their encouragement I thought, ‘Well, I wasn’t really given an opportunity to entertain like I would have wanted to.’ I’ve got a lot of comedy in me so I thought I should give it another shot.”
Liano however is glad the she returned for Season 2, the only difference this time is that she’s not the only one in the center of the drama.
“Last year was the Gina Liano Show,” she laughs. “Because the dynamics have changed (with two new cast members joining and one leaving) the issues have changed anyway. This season you’ll see disagreements and drama spread across the board. I had a lot more fun.”
The second season of RHOMelbourne premiered with high rating in Australia and the hit show is about to premiere in US on prime time on March 5 at 9pm/8c on Bravo.
