Gina Liano Opens Up About The Stress Of Filming The Real Housewives Of Melbourne

In a recent interview, Gina Liano revealed that during the first season of the Real Housewives of Melbourne, her health was in question due to the stress of juggling her barrister career and the Foxtel reality show.

“I went to hospital and had pain in my diaphragm and I didn't know what it was, Liano tells the Daily Mail. They said that it might have been the start of an ulcer, or something like that.”

“It  was probably the stress of taking on a second job. My sons were concerned that I was burning the candle at both ends and that I would get cancer. Having had cancer you panic, you have to be cautious,” said the mother-of-two.

While Gina acknowledged tensions boiled over in season one, she insisted it's important to keep things in perspective.

“We were not saving lives, and we were there to entertain and it took a lot of courage from all of us,” said Gina.

However Liano believes her coping mechanisms might not be up to scratch:

“For me to be in a stressful situation, my stamina is perhaps not as good as what it could be.”

As for her tumultuous relationship with Andrea Moss, Gina is ready to move on.

“I didn't savage her on the show, I mean I gave her a serve but that was me defending myself. She equally was operating at a level where she thought she was defending herself,” she explained.

But the Foxtel reality star is looking forward to a fresh chapter on season two and wants to shake off the victim of bullying label for once and all.

“Bullying suggests you're a victim of something and I never stood out to be a victim of anything.”

The Real Housewives of Melbourne Season 2 premieres on Sunday, February 22 at 8:30pm on Arena and on Thursday, March 5th at 9pm/8c on Bravo!
