"Overall, I'm happy. I'm fulfilled and I'm in a great place in life," she told E! News about celebrating her milestone. "I'm so happy I could show my daughter what it is to be a strong woman."
Currently in remission, Camille reflected on how having the disease makes her see things differently. "With cancer, you never really feel like you're in the clear but I feel good and I have a sense that things are going to be OK," she added. "I'm relieved, I'm happy and I feel blessed."
Camille celebrated in a big way, too: she spent the New Year in Hawaii at not just one party but two, she shared.
"It's an amazing start to the new year," she said. "I'm reaching milestones all the time and just trying to get myself back."
"Last year, I was too sick from the chemo to celebrate New Year's Eve," she continued. "This year, I went to two parties. It was the best New Year's I've had in years. There was a lot of hugs and dancing."
Now Camille is using her celebrity to help spread awareness about the disease and using social media to inspire fans to support cancer-related causes. She will also serve as a chairperson for the National Race for Women's Cancer event Nov. 8 in Washington D.C.
And she is urging women to make 2015 the year they see their doctors to make sure they are healthy.
