The only ingredients you need are pizzelle thin flaky waffle cookies that you can get at any supermarket (or even make at home if you're feeling extra motivated), vanilla frozen yogurt, and a topping of your choice such as sprinkles, mini chocolate chips or M&Ms. After that, it's basically as easy as making a sandwich!
Teresa scoops the softened ice cream onto the pizzelle, sandwiches it, and then rolls the sides in a bowl full of toppings. The sandwiches can then be put in the freezer to harden and served as the perfect after-dinner dessert.
"How I came up with this recipe is that I love pizzelle cookies," Teresa says. "Me and my mom made these growing up. So I just made it fun. I have four daughters and my daughters love to make them. They make them with their friends. It's simple, easy, fun to do."
"This is some happy food," she continues. "It makes you feel good, for your children, for your friends. It's easy to make. And who doesn't like sweets?"
